Direct and Retail Marketing and Distribution

A great many organic farmers include direct and retail sales as at least one component of their marketing mix. This might include a Community Supported Agriculture operation, sales at farmers' markets, and direct sales to area restaurants and retail stores. Below, you'll find a wealth of information that will help you understand and participate in these often lucrative markets. Many of the best organic farmers add a wholesale component to this direct sales mix. In organic farming, diversification is a key principle in both production and marketing.
